You are good.

You are worthy.

You are loved.

If we are to live in a world not filled with anxiety, fear, struggle and hopelessness, we must first begin at the beginning.  At the root of ourselves.  There, at that root, where our feet touch the ground, is where we will find truth and healing.  Not the harmful messages we were taught through our society, culture, religion and family, but the truth that says you are good, you are worthy, you are loved.

It is time to turn inward.

To begin our healing at a grassroots level.

Welcome, I invite you across the threshold.

Most often, we cannot achieve full healing alone. We need the help of another and to be well held while we navigate the often-messy terrain of discovery, healing and wholeness.

I will be your guide as you step into the journey to the root of yourself and back out to the fullest expression of you! Using body-centered psychotherapy (a lovely combination of talk therapy and Somatic Experiencing™) alongside compassion, collaboration, laughter and tears, you will experience healing.

Together we will get to the root of the wound and love it all the way up to health.

Hello, I’m Jaelyn.

It’s so nice to meet you.

I bring all the skills and experiences of over 20 years as a licensed mental health therapist to my current practice providing experiential, practical, life changing counseling to individuals, couples and groups through body-centered psychotherapy.

In 2004 I received my master’s degree from Bastyr University’s Leadership Institute of Seattle (LIOS), where I had two years packed with experiential learning in systems counseling and coaching. I went on to earn certifications in Mind/Body Medicine from Harvard University, Sexuality from American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT), Feminine Leadership from Kore Leadership, Somatic Experiencing™ from Somatic Experiencing Institute and Dr. Steven Porges’ Safe and Sound Protocol. I am also a psilocybin microdosing coach and Journey Facilitator.

Positions as a therapist in both private and public practice, manager of a community behavioral health program, and in community development and implementation services, have informed my professional expertise, while my family and community solidify why I do this work.

I have two adult children, a thriving second half of life marriage, nourishing friendships and a passion for sailing, dancing, music, being outdoors and experiencing life to its fullest! I recognize the humanity in each of us and am an advocate and ally to the LGBTQAI+ community.

I offer individual sessions, couples counseling, workshops and beautiful in-depth retreats that support people coming into the totality of themselves.

Love,
Jaelyn Wielbicki

What is Somatic Experiencing™?

Somatic Experiencing (SE™) is a body-oriented therapeutic model applied in multiple professions and professional settings—psychotherapy, medicine, coaching, teaching, and physical therapy—for healing trauma and other stress disorders. While traditional psychotherapy works with the mind in a ‘top down’ model - change your thoughts, change your life - SE works with the nervous system, or in a ‘bottom up’ model - pay attention to your body sensations and experiences, heal your life.

Love notes from past clients

I am honored and privileged to walk alongside you on your healing journey. Thank you for trusting me as your guide.

  • She is incredibly easy to open up to and to discuss personal issues with. In particular, she has helped me understand aspects of my subconscious and re-evaluate or incorporate them in a positive way into my life.

She is currently helping me with a lot of trauma and PTSD. This is done through many different exercises which are sometimes difficult but always rewarding. I enjoy being an active participant in this process.

She often gives me articles / books to read, and/or videos to watch if I wish.

I was suffering a high level of anxiety, including panic attacks, when I came to her and I am happy to say that I am calmer and more relaxed. I am managing life issues much better now.

She feels more like an old friend. She tells me the truth I need to hear. She asks the hard questions. She comforts me when I cry. I JUST LOVE HER! I cannot recommend her enough. Therapy rocks!

  • …I was asked to sit in on a session with one of my daughters taking therapy. This daughter was in the midst of a very painful relationship crisis and had been referred to Jaelyn for counseling. This was the beginning of my own life transforming relationship with her. From the first conversation I instantly sensed a loving and supportive spirit, a sounding board, a safe place. Through a mix of talk and somatic experiencing I have gained such release from various traumas and triggers I hadn't even known existed. She is a guide on my journey back to me! I firmly believe that everyone "needs a Jaelyn". I am so glad I found the original!
    —Cheryl

  • I never felt judged by her even when I was judging myself. To the contrary, her accepting attitude and relatable stories helped me feel like I was normal, which eased my anxiety and frustrations. With her help, I've become wiser and stronger and I am now living my best life.
    —C.R.

  • … which she was able to support and help me with skills that now allow me to leave my house. I do not need to keep my back to the wall anymore when I go out to eat. My personal connections with people have improved, and I have been able to readjust to normal life after my prior job in corrections. 4 years ago I would not be able to do the job I do now, and that is working with others in the mental health field.
    —J.F.

  • Her warmth and positive vibrations allowed me to melt through the hard layers and begin to grow confidently into my higher self. Although there were times I was blinded by my own beliefs, the care and attention to detail she brought to each session helped me confront my concerns and see my path more clearly.

    — Joe C.

  • She is such a joy to work with, and has a wonderfully universal perspective on humanity. Her approach to therapy addresses the roots of what needs healing yet also empowers her client to be present and gracious with their surface symptoms. Her use of somatic body work is incredibly effective in teaching one how to name & identify emotional pain in the body thus gifting us with the ability to shift, create space, and eventually free us from our traumas. Healing is a lifetime practice, though I have made leaps and bounds with Jaelyn’s help over the years and will forever continue using the tools for healing that I cultivated in my time with her. I’m forever thankful our paths crossed!
